I. Product Introduction
The TruStability micro-pressure product HSC (high precision silicon ceramic) series features high sensitivity and high overpressure and burst pressure characteristics - these three performance features are rarely found in the same product. This technology can protect the sensor without affecting the sensitivity of extremely small pressure changes, and can also overcome the influence of some environmental factors (such as temperature, humidity, etc.) to maintain durability.
After long-term or extreme temperature use of the TruStability micro-pressure sensor, it still performs better than any similar sensor products in the industry in terms of stability. This series can minimize the system calibration requirements, optimize system performance, and reduce the service or replacement requirements during the sensor's lifespan, effectively supporting the normal operation of the system. For pressure sensors, maintaining high stability in the required micro-pressure range is very difficult. Usually, pressure sensors are prone to damage in high-pressure conditions when used in micro-pressure applications. The TruStability micro-pressure sensor uses Honeywell's patented technology, which can maintain industry-leading stability even under overpressure conditions.
This new series of sensors can read pressure within the specified full-scale micro-pressure range (±2.5 mbar to ±40 mbar [±1 inH2O to ±30 inH2O]) and achieve digital or analog output, providing support for many industrial and medical applications:
Industrial HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) applications: including VAV (variable air volume) control systems, duct static pressure, HVAC filter blockage detection, HVAC transmitters, and indoor air quality. Medical applications: including ventilators, anesthesia machines, spirometers, nebulizers, and hospital indoor air pressure control.
Honeywell provides the industry's leading total error band (TEB), which is the most comprehensive, precise, and meaningful measurement indicator. It ensures the accuracy of the sensor under the temperature range of 0 ℃ to 50 ℃ or -20 ℃ to 85 ℃, compensating for system errors. Therefore, customers can use the sensor quickly and easily in applications, no longer needing to calculate the total error by summing up individual errors. The total error band of the HSC series is ±1 %FSS. The total error band not only enables customers to eliminate the need for individual sensor testing and calibration, improve manufacturing time and process, ensure system accuracy and quality, optimize system uptime, but also ensures excellent interchangeability (in terms of accuracy, minimizing the changes between devices).
Features of TruStability micro-pressure type pressure sensors:
Industry-leading accuracy, up to ±0.25% FSS BFSL (full-scale best-fit straight line), reducing the software requirements for correcting system errors, minimizing system design time, supporting system accuracy and warranty requirements, optimizing system uptime.
High burst pressure characteristics, up to 415 inH2O (1034 mbar) or more, enabling the sensor to maintain high sensitivity in various environmental changes, capable of measuring extremely small pressure changes, and simplifying the design process for customers.
High working pressure range, up to 135 inH2O (336 mbar) or more, allowing ultra-low pressure sensors to continuously and effectively work within the calibration pressure range.
Modular and flexible design, with various packaging types (also featuring industry-leading stability), pressure ports, and optional components, simplifying the application integration work of equipment manufacturers.
On-board signal processing, enabling PCB boards not to require assembly of signal processing components, reducing costs, and simplifying the production process for customers. The flexibility of installation direction enables customers to position the sensor in the optimal location within the system, reducing the impact of position deviation and enhancing the flexibility in the application.
Vibration insensitivity reduces the sensitivity to specific application vibrations during pressure changes, minimizing the error in pressure readings.
Integrated amplification, compensation and calibration enable users' PCB boards to operate without additional signal processing components, reducing the size of the PCB board and saving costs related to components (such as purchase, inventory, assembly, etc.).
Internal diagnostic function enhances system reliability.
Extremely low power consumption of less than 10 mW (typical value) reduces energy consumption, extends battery life, and improves energy efficiency.
14-bit digital output compatible with I2C or SPI (at least 12-bit pressure resolution), improving performance by reducing conversion requirements and interacting directly with microprocessors or microcontrollers.
It also provides analog output.
Miniature package 10 mm x 10 mm [0.39 in x 0.39 in], with a very small package size compared to circuit board-mounted pressure sensors, occupying less space on the PCB board and facilitating placement on densely populated PCB boards or small devices.
Custom calibration available: enabling PCB boards to operate without additional signal processing components, reducing the size of the PCB board, and saving costs related to components (such as purchase, inventory, assembly, etc.).
Ratio analog output; also provides 14-bit digital output compatible with I2C or SPI (at least 12-bit pressure resolution).
Compliant with RoHS standards
